Track Entry Fees
  • Most tracks give free entry to the driver and 1 crew member
  •  In the case that free entry is not provided it is expected that the fee is paid at the gate
  • Please refrain from leaving crew names for free admission at the gate if they are not traveling with you

Tech
  • Cars should be taken through the track tech prior to time trials on race day
  • Some tracks offer a tech sticker good for the season. In this case you do not have to tech as long as you have the season sticker, and your car has passed inspection and is registered with the track.
  • Tech inspections can be done at any time by the OMSS Director and BOD
  • The decisions of the Director and BOD are final

Driver’s Meeting
  • There will be a driver’s meeting prior to the first round of eliminations in the OMSS pit area
  • If your car is broke please let the Director know ASAP
  • There is a $50 entry fee which should be paid prior to the meeting. Failure to do so could result in a $20 fine.
  •  All race entry fees will go into the Top 10 Points Fund and paid out at the Annual Banquet
  • Drivers will draw chips to determine ladder pairings
  • If you are unable to attend the meeting you can send a representative

Starting Line/Race
  • Push starts are allowed
  • One burnout across the starting line is allowed—it is a courtesy to inform your opponent
  • Dry hops should not cross the starting line unless instructed by the starting line personnel
  • Full five-tenths tree—please practice courtesy staging
  • ET dial can be changed in between rounds with lane choice being given to the faster car in each pairing
  • During elimination rounds the car committing the first or worst foul is eliminated
  • If the winner has broken but was staged it does not have to make the run. In this case the car must break the beam in order to return for the next round. If the winner is unable to return for the next round both cars are eliminated.
  • Reruns require tower consultation, agreement by both drivers and OMSS BOD approval
  • Drivers should get paired up for a smooth transition in the staging lanes for the start of our class
  • Bye car will run last in our class

  • First round losers are eligible $20 entry fee
  • Winner gets 66% and Runner-up gets 33%
  • A ladder will be drawn if necessary

Rain Policy
In the event of a rainout before completion of the 1 st round the entire race will be rescheduled if possible
  • Show up points will be awarded to those in attendance (100 points)
  • If 1 st round is completed the race will not be rescheduled
  • Payout will be determined by the BOD with consideration of the track’s payment
  •  There is a possibility if the race is cancelled between the 1 st and 2 nd round the 1 st round
  • losers might be overpaid. This will be corrected at the next race.

If a rainout occurs on a Saturday night and the track offers to race on Sunday we would consider  this if we could retain enough cars. We would make every effort to satisfy the track and earn their payments. Show-up and payout will be determined by the BOD.
